Forward Party

The Forward Party, abbreviated as FWD, was founded by the technocratic military junta after the July Coup. The Dignity Party of President Philippe merged into it, consolidating all sections of the government under the party. The party is quite right wing on economic issues, but also quite left wing on social issues. It had led the government ever since the sham snap election which was held a few days after the formation of the party. The party is currently leading the first cabinet following the transition to democracy under Prime Minister Abu Mohammad al-Julani, which is a coalition government including the Kuomintang and Momentum-Unity.
